Hotrod Posted May 7, 2010 #1 Posted May 7, 2010 I see that most recommend the EBC brake pads for the RSV. I was wondering where to order for the best price. Also, has anyone had any problems with excessive disc wear due to using the HH sintered pads.I have got to do something, the stock pads just do not do a good job of hauling down 900 lbs. when you need it. Pretty scary when you are sqeezing the front brake lever real hard and pushing down on the back at the same time and the bike seems like it is taking forever to come to a stop.
KiteSquid Posted May 7, 2010 #2 Posted May 7, 2010 I have factory pads on my RSV and it stops quite well. When did you replace your brake fluid??????
Hotrod Posted May 7, 2010 Author #3 Posted May 7, 2010 I have'nt yet. It is still clear in the sight glass on the master cylinder.May change it soon though, because the clutch fluid is starting to get dark. I will do both at the same time.
Kregerdoodle Posted May 7, 2010 #4 Posted May 7, 2010 I just picked up a set of rear EBC HH Sintered from Global Motorsports in Houston they started out at $34.95 told him I was with VRO and I got them for $30.00 out the door. really nice guy and he has some really good prices on bikes also.. here is the web site, (I have not checked it out) www.globalcycles.com I checked on a new front tire Avon Cobra Radial...$182.00 I thought that was a bit high, but havn`t checked around yet, I will before I buy..
