The Black Pearl Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Oh my goodness!!!!:dancefool:What a difference!!!! Got them back on last night and headed out for about a hour ride on Old Mission Peninsula and WOW. Its like a totally different seat. So much more comfortable!! I have to say this is probably the best upgrade I have done to the pearl thanks so much Rick you really saved my a**!!! Bring on that Saddlesore1000!!!!!!!
BigD Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I see a lot of people talking about this up-grade. What improvements dose it make, and how dose it change the stock seat? Thanks
The Black Pearl Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 I see a lot of people talking about this up-grade. What improvements dose it make, and how dose it change the stock seat? Thanks If you read the classified ad it explains it alot better, but he reshapes and refoams with memory foam and covers it all back up but boy it is softer... I guess more form fitting may be a better way of saying it he also cuts in a nice tailbone relief area and you can feel the difference with that in a couple miles NO PRESSURE POINTS very comfortable feels like I bought a new seat
stroker ace Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The difference is: YOU CAN RIDE FOREVER AND YOUR BUTT DON'T GET TIRED OR SORE.... My wonderful husband had my backrest done too, now I'm really spoiled. However it will make you forget what others are talking about when they are over it after a few hours...
Brenda H Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I can't say how Rick's work affects the RSV seat as I ride a 650. But at the last maintenance day, I got to sit an 1100 Custom seat that Rick had done. GOOD LORD!! It felt so good! I'm used to sittin on a "brick". I have "spoken" to Rick about doing my 650's seat. In fact, it will probably be the very next mod done on the Wee Beastie. I think it will finally get that bike to where I can do some semi serious traveling on it. At present, I won't consider much more than doing a day trip on the "brick".
