Condor Posted May 5, 2010 #51 Posted May 5, 2010 On the Streetpilot c550 I just loaded up a bunch of my CD's, and stored individual tunes. Ripped the CD's to the computor, then converted them to MP3, and loaded them on the GPS with an 8gig card. I downloaded a free converter http://www.wma-mp3.org/ off the net. There's a bunch of them but this one seemed to have no hidden agenda.... One of my favorite CD's is Starbucks Night on the Delta. Great CD if you like Bayou Jazz. Before the HD fried I used to have a cut of 'Sea Lion Woman' from the movie General's Daughter. If you like hot humid traditional jazz this is the one. Gotta get another copy. Another rip would be 'The Jazz Singer' from the movie 7days-7Nights. I guess most of the stuff I have loaded on the GPS are Jazz/Classical with a heavy beat. Not that I don't like some of the faster stuff, I just don't think my brain needs any more up-tempo type input than it already has.... Plus a little Jimmy Buffet never hurt anyone....
Midnight V-4 Posted May 5, 2010 #52 Posted May 5, 2010 All those great tunes and no one mentioned one of the greatest driving/riding songs of all time. REO Speedwagon and "Roll With The Changes"

mini-muffin Posted May 5, 2010 #54 Posted May 5, 2010 Well I have a wide and varying selection. I have a lot of the ones mentioned so far, was glad to see someone mention the Ramones. Saw them in central park when I was 16. I'll list a few groups not sure anyone has heard of, but they are more current for those that think the list is for old folks. Passion pit, AFI, Blaqk Audio, the constellations, She wants revenge, Christina Aguilera (she's got a great voice) shakira, even lady gaga. Just to name a few. Plus I have lots of older stuff way too much to list here, much has been mentioned already. Lets see the cars weren't mentioned or the beatles. Margaret

puppy Posted May 5, 2010 #56 Posted May 5, 2010 Comfortably Numb, by Pink Floyd. Specifically the long version, from the live concert at Earls Park. It is about 7 1/2 minutes long, and ends with Roger Waters guitar solo. It is on all my homemade cd's.
91nwl Posted May 5, 2010 #57 Posted May 5, 2010 Sons of the Pioneers, yes! You got to include Marty Robbins in there. You're my kind of guy. I've got a bunch of Marty Robbins and it goes down the road real good too.

Something about getting on my bike and just riding , I have a problem of throttle twist . Just like turning up the radio I like to twist the throttle . I'm sure I'm not the only one through.
