I like most of what's posted above. I have mostly classic rock and metal. I Love AC/DC.

I also have a lot of songs from Sublime. I like that style of music. Google them and check 'em out.

gosh, this could go on for many pages. Here's a start:

Stevie Ray Vaughn:

Texas Flood

Voodoo Chile and Little Wing (Hendrix songs)

Pride and Joy

Lenny

Riviera Paradise

Led Zeppelin:

Stairway to Heaven (cliche, but still one of the greatest songs of all time)

Pretty much everything else they ever recorded

Lynyrd Skynyrd:

Freebird

Sweet Home Alabama

Gimme Three steps

That Smell

... and lots more

Allman Brothers Band:

Midnight Rider

Ramblin Man

Whipping Post

Jimi Hendrix:

All Along the Watchtower

Voodoo Chile (slight return)

Little Wing

Hey Joe

Purple Haze

Wind Cries Mary

Red House

Joe Bonamassa:

(if you don't know Joe B, and you like the above artists, you owe it to yourself to check him out - amazing blues rock guitarist)

Burning Hell

Lie No. 1

Your funeral, my trial

Miss you Hate you

If heartaches were nickels

Pain and Sorrow

River

Mike Bloomfield:

(another not too well know blues guitarist form the 70's)

Killing Floor (a remake)

Work Song

Alberts Shuffle

... everything on the Essential Blues compilation CD

Dream Theatre:

(changing genres here - this is a progressive metal band - but very melodic. Think Yes or ELP crossed with Metallica)

Pull me under

Space-dye vest

Lie

Mirror

Learning to Live

Creep by Stone Temple Pilots

Pieces & Crawling in the Dark by Hoobastank

Tonight by Elton John

OK, that's enough to now. Enjoy! Looking forward to seeing what others post here.

I'm also a huge Dream Theater fan...

In The Presence of Enemies part 1 and 2 WOW

I believe Mike Portnoy is one of the best drummers who ever lived. The professer is amazing but Mike is right there. All the band members are amazing musicians.

Rush - Too many to mention

Three Doors Down:

Duck and Run

Kryptonite

Areosmith - can you pick just one.

Blue Oyster Cult:

Burnen for you

How about Molly Hatchet and 38 Special:

Flirtin with Disaster

Wild Eyed Southern Boys

Kansas:

Dust in the Wind

Cary on My Wayword Son

Point of No Return

Peter Frampton:

Do You Feel Like We Do

Show Me The Way

After reading through the post on the online station, it gave me some really good suggestions for songs to download to my MP3.

Then I thought it would be a great thread. Be specific on the song name. As you guys recommend them, I'm gonna download the ones I like. Thanks in advance....

Already downloaded lots of CCR, Black Betty, Danger Zone, etc. Keep em coming.:dancefool:

And can Annie have a copy of 'em when you git 'em done :big-grin-emoticon: [CD?]

I am also varied in my tastes, but road music for me is the "concept" or story albums, some Miles Davis, any Clapton, early Chicago with Terry Kath (still have my CTA album), a little Willie and Weylon thrown in for good measure.

My taste in music ranges from Big Band to Acid Rock, and it would take pages and pages list all of the songs I call favorite songs .. but the following are few that haven't been listed already above and are must have on any of the various MP3 players I use (bike, work, car, etc):

Those appearing in bold type are listed in order of preference. Eclectic doesn't begin to descibe my taste in music. I even have a vintage vinyl of Frank Zappa. I might even part with my vinyl "Blind Faith" album if the price were right!

From Big & Rich "Horse of a Different Color" Album

1. Live This Life

2. Holy Water

3. Saved

From Nicole C. Mullen's "Talk About It" album

1. "Let The Redeemed of The Lord Say SO"

2. "I Will Give You Rest"

3. "When I Call on Jesus"

From the "W.O.W. Orange CD" -- 1. "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" done by Darleene Zschech

Pachabel-"Canon in D-Major"

J.S. Bach - "Air on The G-String"

"Hawaii '78" & "Somewhere over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (brother Izzy)

Anything by Dobro king of the planet-Jerry Douglas! Particularly from the "Lookout for Hope" and "The Best Kept Secret" albums

Most anything from Crosby Stills Nash & Young (or variations of the group)

Anything from Bonnie Raitt "Longing in Their Hearts", "Luck of The Draw"

or "Nick of Time" albums

Anything from the Bob Marley "Legend" Album

Clapton- "Pretending", "Knocking on Heavens Door", "If I Could Change The World",

A lot of my favorites have already been listed. I tried to think of an all time favorite, but there isn't one so I'll just try to name a couple I don't already see listed.

"Smooth" Santana/Rob Thomas.

"Give me one reason" Tracy Chapman.

"Walk this way" Aerosmith
