Condor Posted May 4, 2010 #2 Posted May 4, 2010 what should idle vacume be ..... I never paid attention to the vacuum when syncing, just as long as there is some.... Just seems like on all the carbs I've sync'd it's always different???
KiteSquid Posted May 4, 2010 #3 Posted May 4, 2010 (edited) The factory service manual is down-loadable for FREE and it has this information in it. Click on the VRTech link in the bar on the left hand side of this web page. it is about 13 MB. I printed a copy and put it in a three ring binder in my garage and have it on my home PC... That said the Service Manual, Maintenance Specifications table on page 2-9 states 37kPa (280 mmHg) at 950 to 1050 RPM. HOWEVER, I was unable to reach the level listed in the manual so I adjusted for the maximum vacuum to be even across all cylinders. The procedure for synchronizing the carburetors starts on page 3-14. Edited May 4, 2010 by KiteSquid

Bummer Posted May 4, 2010 #6 Posted May 4, 2010 The manual has the carb sync procedure wrong. See this thread.
