...I had a retired feller offer me a 2006 VROD with 6500 miles on it as a straight trade for my 65 Comet, if I have the white parts painted blue... I'm still marinating on it...

I DID just get the Comet, and I don't need a bike, since the wife can't ride preggo, and it'll be a while before I trust her mother to babysit for a bike ride... But the intent was to trade for the VROD and sell it... But the guy got cold feet, and disappeared.

 

I think I'm just gonna sell the darn car... I don't have the time to even enjoy it, and with no seatbelts, I have been refusing to let anyone else ride with me... Jeez... Stupid toys.

I think I saw this in the 80'S on a special show on TV. Is the 65 Comet a Caliente model in a 2dr HT? That was a good looking model. It just didn't have a really good motor.

It's just a Comet 202... I got ahold of the guy with the VROD, apparently he wrecked the scoot! He's okay, a little Road rash, but the bike is done for. Now I'm getting offers from all over the place! A 92 Mustang in VERY sweet shape, WITH a nice atv, $11,000 cash (if I take a $500 deposit and wait until he gets off deployment to get the rest) Trucks N' toys n' cars n' cash!

 

Ya' know what I HAVEN'T been offered yet?
