Sideoftheroad Posted April 30, 2010 #3 Posted April 30, 2010 Isn't that the mold they use the make the cassette decks?
scooter45 Posted April 30, 2010 #5 Posted April 30, 2010 If they take out the tape deck where will I play my Slim Whitman tapes
Aussie Annie Posted May 1, 2010 #7 Posted May 1, 2010 Ain't it amazing what you can find under a rock:yikes:
mraf Posted May 1, 2010 #8 Posted May 1, 2010 Forward that to Yamaha Headquarters!:rotfl: If they do away with the cassette player cousin yamamoto will be out of a job! Not going to happen, NOPE. Never did understand all the hype over cassette tapes either. The 8-tracks let you pick other songs much faster. I'll second the motion to bring'em back.:rotfl:
buddy Posted May 1, 2010 #9 Posted May 1, 2010 That's funny, Where I live, only place you will find any cassette tapes now is at the thrift store. Very few though. The World has changed a lot in 40+ years......As long America keeps buying the Venture with the cassette deck, Yamaha will keep adding them on.. If not for the XVZ motor being so dang good, the Venture would have went under along time ago. It sure ain't the cassette deck selling the Venture its the motor.....
gunboat Posted May 1, 2010 #10 Posted May 1, 2010 Bring back 8 track tapes:rotf: i say bring back the 4 track tapes. don c.
RedRaptor22 Posted May 1, 2010 #11 Posted May 1, 2010 How else are all of you geriatric types going to listen to your steppenwolf and zztop collections? I mean without having your grandkids put them on disk for you?
autopilot Posted May 2, 2010 #12 Posted May 2, 2010 Bring back 8 track tapes:rotf: I think I have a box full of them. I'd definitely part with them for a phenomenal fee. Or make me an offer I can't possibly refuse!
oldgoat Posted May 2, 2010 #13 Posted May 2, 2010 could be worse they could have just made a am radio and then you have to buy a fm converter i remember my dad had a old car with a record player built in? and it had a fold into the trunk hard top something like that it was cool
