skydoc_17 Posted April 30, 2010 #2 Posted April 30, 2010 Hey Rick, Yamaha stopped the production of the First Gen. Venture in 1993 and in the United States 1993 was the last year that the Venture Royale was offered. All of the remaining Venture Royales were sold in Europe and Canada as a 1994 Model but none were produced after 11/93. So to answer your question, 1993 was the last production year for the VR in the U.S. and 1994 was the last year for the VR in Europe and Canada. I hope this helps, Earl

I knew they stopped production in 1993 but didn't realize what was left over up here got sold as 1994 models. That would then make a 1994 a bit of a rarity one might think...?
bongobobny Posted April 30, 2010 #5 Posted April 30, 2010 It is a MK2 so that makes it '86 thru '93...
skydoc_17 Posted April 30, 2010 #6 Posted April 30, 2010 Hey Rick, Since they stopped ALL production of the First Gen. VR's in 1993, it just means that it is a left over 93'VR. Not really a big deal. The European parts lists do show a listing for the 94'VR but everything is the same as the 93'VR, including the color. Earl
BradT Posted May 1, 2010 #7 Posted May 1, 2010 IF you get the VIN number the 10th difit is the year, if it is a P it is a 93, and a R is 94. At least this is what year they said it was made. May have been sold as a new 94 but I would assume it is actually a 93 Curious what Yamaha classified it as ? Brad
