Guest seuadr Posted April 28, 2010 #1 Posted April 28, 2010 I'm looking to update my lighting on blondie. I've seen a couple threads on DIY stuff but i'm a little worried about taking that on myself.. are there any light kits still avaliable out there?
painterman67 Posted April 28, 2010 #2 Posted April 28, 2010 Squidley either makes or used to make a horn/ running light replacemaent bracket for the first gens, Then just pick up whatever lights you desire to mount on top. I love mine with a set of blasser lights from walmart on them. David

David ya? i might need to look into that. i've been looking at those walmart lights for a little while now. i was hoping to find a light bar for the trunk reflector and/or the "yamaha" reflector under the plate.
Dave3 Posted April 28, 2010 #4 Posted April 28, 2010 Try a set of brakelight LED pods. They wire up to the brakelights and flash when brakes are applied. The small rectangle housing is mounted with double stick tape.

Here is what I did with my trunk reflector. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41588 I may be biased but I think it turned out great.
mbrood Posted April 28, 2010 #6 Posted April 28, 2010 The "Venture" reflector below the license is a red piece glued to a black piece... You can use a razor blade and a straight edge on the top and bottom and separate them, toss in what bulbs you want and then use either hot glue (hi temp) or RTV to reseal the unit... http://www.bergall.org/temp/venture/rearlight.jpg
