765T trouble

On my recent trip to california my brand new Garmin stopped audio function through the internal speaker and aux output. Anyone had a similar problem. Only mod I did was to split the aux input behind the casette deck so I would not have to ride with the door open. Working fine till I shut it off then no output. Works fine through the FM transmitter I should add. By the way the audio books are a geat thing to listen too crossing the desert.

Herb,My Mom (She has the same unit) had that same problem..I reloaded the program. Call Garmin and they will have the link if you have the webupdater installed. Its pretty simple,even I an do it.

I'm not having any audio problems yet with my 765T. But the one I got for Xmas, the battery will no longer charge. I've only used it a few times on the bike since then and I fully charged it before the first use. I'm wondering if there are a lot of problems with this model Garmin.

iwill try that, I have updated the maps already, took for ever. And Kim I cant speek to the battery life part as I use the FM enabled power cable that plugs up to the bike.

My audio is working again. If it fails later on then there may be a loose solder joint in it somers. I got home last night and was going to dial up Garmin and I tried it one more time and its working, can't fixit if it ain't broke. thanks all

My unit recently stopped charging if I was using a USB power plug. It still accepts power through the cradle plug, but I am starting to question if it is actually charging while it is turned on while plugged in. When I contacted Garmin they told me I could get the USB port replaced for only $99. My old Lowrance IWay 500 is looking real good right now, no matter how much it weighs.
