oldgoat Posted April 25, 2010 #1 Posted April 25, 2010 got home about a hour ago went out to cover the venture before it rains. and darn it i left the cover at a friends house. just how much rain can a old 84 venture stand? its pouring out there so hard i cant see across the street. bike is parked between 2 cars. but it looks like a poor duck out there. it needs to be washed but gee not that bad. so has anyone else been stuck in this type situation? radio tape player should be ok i hope?
Scooter Bob Posted April 25, 2010 #2 Posted April 25, 2010 Often, my friend. They're built for it. If a bike couldn't get wet, a bunch of us wouldn't have been to most or all of the states in this country. Go out and blow dry it tomorrow. Later, Scooter Bob

Rocket Posted April 25, 2010 #10 Posted April 25, 2010 got home about a hour ago went out to cover the venture before it rains. and darn it i left the cover at a friends house. just how much rain can a old 84 venture stand? its pouring out there so hard i cant see across the street. bike is parked between 2 cars. but it looks like a poor duck out there. it needs to be washed but gee not that bad. so has anyone else been stuck in this type situation? radio tape player should be ok i hope? Tape player is the only iffy one, could be ok as long as the rain isn't sideways & getting under the cover......
Yammer Dan Posted April 25, 2010 #11 Posted April 25, 2010 Should be OK. Have rode in some downpours and left it out in the rain a few times.
