Hi everyone, I am brand new to this forum. I just purchase a 1993 venture today. I started it up and drove it on the trailer. When I got home (209 miles) it would not start. The engine turns over but does not fire up. The fuel lever in on fuel and the fuel gauge reads half a tank. I am really frustrated and do not know what to do. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,:240::240::240:

I have found that mine can be fun to get initially started, after trailering an extended distance. Possible flooding from fuel sloshing around, during transit???

Hopefully it is just that simple of a problem, with yours. :080402gudl_prv:

Drain the Carb bowls, and the Fuel tank, Completly,

Each bowl has its own drain hose, #2 phillips to open drain.

Work the Side stand switch a few times.

If bike had been sitting for a long time, maby Crud in the tank got rilled up.

Pull the plugs and check what they look like, probably needs new plugs anyway !!

Also, with all this cranking and NO Start, better Charge the Battery

hello Bob,

welcome to the site. My cdi box got wet and did the same thing. Bike would turn over but not crank. Now if you cant get it to crank you could always put the old girl back on the trailer and bring her to NC. Im in kneed of some more parts fro my 91.

HEHEHEHEHE seriouslt though these are nice bikes so hope it something easily fixed and welcome aboard.

Anyways just sitting still and not cranking its still faster than a second gen.
