Aussie Annie Posted April 23, 2010 #1 Posted April 23, 2010 With ANZAC DAY approaching [sunday 25th April] we were given the opportunity to send messages to our men and women over seas. Anzac Day is very significant to us, and goes back to WW1 and the battle at Gallipoli. If you would like to send a message supporting Aussie troops: http://www.telstra.com/anzacday "At the going down of the sun And in the morning We will remember them LEST WE FORGET
Texaskid Posted April 23, 2010 #2 Posted April 23, 2010 Hello Annie. Back in the mid 90's I remember I had the distinct pleasure of working side by side with some of your Air Force chaps at one of our bases in California before it was closed. They had bought about 12 F-111 from the U.S. We refurbished them before they were delivered to the Australian Air Force. We had a blast joking with them and they with us. We all had a good time. The stories they would tell would make us laugh. And I found out what a Blista was. I hope that is he way you spell it. When I saw your post it brought back memories. I wish them well as I do any person that is in military service in any free country.
