As some of you may have read, I wrote a letter to my local paper about keeping an eye out for motorcycles, and included a snippet of one of the few biker 'poems' (hate to call it that) that are floating around the 'net...

Surprisingly enough, they published it! NOW it's under attack by some lady named Angie in the comments section... So aggrivating!

Anyhow, here's the article link...

Wow what a witch (really mean the other word though). Don't know why she said anything except she was looking to start something with someone. I've noticed some people will respond to stuff in the paper just to respond they don't actually know or care about the topic.

Well.....I don't know what the gal was smoking but I certainly don't want any. She'll be the one to run over one of us for sure. Just keep a look out for people like her. She's a me person I bet. You know it's all about me.

Read her profile.

She's "endured an abusive husband until I had his arrogant butt charged and forced out of the military". Probably has something against all men. Maybe her ex. had a motorcycle so that would be 2 strikes against you. :rotf:

I thought about pointing out her questionable 'forced' image. Why would she make that kind of info public??? ATTENTION attention attention... I decided to take the high road, and just stick with facts, and leave opinion out of my responses.

Be carefull with your Response. She might call you abusive too.

The Truth actually IS unconvient some Times, especially when it contradicts my Views.

Therefore, i'd suggest you unveil your Sources, so that everyone can see the Statistics you mentioned.

Just keep the challenge before her. We're with you on this one!!!!

The one thing I don't understand is why some get so defensive when you simply ask them to "watch out for us." We just want to enjoy our ride and feel like we have a chance of getting where we want to go.

I don't any difference in this and asking people to be careful while turning right on a red light so they don't hit anyone coming from their left.

Why do people take such offense to "be careful?"

They're called ... TROLLS ... they have nothing better to do with their time except :witch_brew: in on-line forums, blogs, etc, etc.

Statistics always have been manipulated. I remember reading one article that stated a very high percentage of motorcycle accidents involved drinking. I then realized that they hadn't bothered to separate the accidents caused by drunken motorcyclists and drunk drivers. I know from personal experience that on my 30 mile ride home from work at least one car will start to or actually pull out in front of me like I wasn't there. I have realized that if I don't think that they see me that if I whip the bike back and forth in my lane that they will usually see me.

I have to say you handled yourself in a very professional, well educated fashion... I could not do that with an idiot like her... The first thing I felt was she needed a front tire up her arse... and yes I do realize that then I would be stuping to her ridiculously standards..

It took a LOT of restraint not to make it a personal attack against her... I haven't had a cigarette in 6 days, and the wife is pregnant, which means it CRANKY City over here... But, strangely enough I managed not to call her any names in the article... As for what I was saying out loud while I was typing....:whistling:
