Aussie Annie Posted April 14, 2010 #1 Posted April 14, 2010 Purchased a Kumho Powerstar and then it began........ Tire shop couldn't fit my rear rim on their machine! Friend drove tire down to bike shop [doing favour for tire shop] Back to tire shop to inflate correctly. Back to bike shop to balance tire on their machine -- discover that tire isn't on rim properly! Bike shop said leave it with them and they will try [inbetween other servicing] to get it to bead correctly. Tire there for two days, but can't get it to bead!! So now I have asked Quickstep if he can take it to work and see if the truvk tire fitter can bead it on with his more powerful machine. Just hope all this hasn't distorted the tire????

Took my kumho to the Firestone store. They had it popped on in a matter of minutes and the owner said just tip the installer, which I was more than happy to do.
Aussie Annie Posted April 14, 2010 Author #3 Posted April 14, 2010 Was happy to pay them, but they said no, as it was a favour for the tire store. So sent packets of Tim Tam's for their morning tea.
