WHiP Posted April 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2010 I have a 2000 Venture with pretty messed up headsets. I've been looking at my options and believe a bluetooth system would be a better choice. I was wondering if anyone has just completely scrapped the RSV audio system radio/cb/intercom/cassette (removed the components) and just started over with a GPS/IPOD/Bluetooth system. I would really like to get some other ideas before i do anything drastic. I definetely want a GPS and haven't used the CB at all. What are some of your ideas/solutions? Thanks Howard
MikeWa Posted April 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 13, 2010 I really like the CB when riding/communicating with other bikers. It is easier than a cel phone and works when there is no cel tower near by. Meaning in the mountains and off the main track. Mike
Freebird Posted April 13, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 13, 2010 I read this review this morning and it sounds really good. I have no intention of going to Bluetooth but if I was going to, I would certainly give these a closer look. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-intercoms/sena-smh10-intercom/sena-smh10-part-2.htm

Thanks Howard I have no input to answer your question, but if you want some help troubleshooting your 'messed up headset' situation - plenty of us on here can probably help you out with it. I will stay tuned though, as I am curious what else is available/will work and what folks have done as a replacement.

Actually, they make a headset that's very good. But they are a little pricey. http://www.sierra-mc.com/products.asp?cat=
