speed cable/self canceling signals

I replaced my broken speedo cable, the good part is that I can now see how fast i am not going and the odometer works again ass well. Unfortunately the self cancel feature on the blinkers which used to work, does not! Any thoughts??

There is a sensor in the speedometer head that is used to read speed. This information is used by the cruise system & turn signals canceling unit.

 

Possibly was damaged or wires got knocked off.

 

Or one of the dash plugs is not making a good connection.

 

Picture shows sensor wires directly above speedometer cable port.

sensor is maganitc reed swich on the inside of the black plastic piece. My black plastic was held in with glue, and one side popped up, making reed switch to far from magnet in head to activate. I reglued mine down with hot glue gun.

Hotdiggity!! That little booger was out of the hole, pushed it back in and tht did the trick, Thanks guys! :happy65:
