peterbooth Posted April 9, 2010 #1 Posted April 9, 2010 Installing a side car and will probably have triple trees modified to assist with steering effort. What alls involved with removing the triple tree's? Is this a job to tackle myself? I obviously have no idea whats involved as suggested from my first question:doh: Thanks
SteveW Posted April 10, 2010 #2 Posted April 10, 2010 Try it first without doing the mod. My sidecar handles fine the way it is. A friend had the rake done on his Harley when he installed his sidecar and its about the same as my 2005 stock for steering.
peterbooth Posted April 10, 2010 Author #3 Posted April 10, 2010 Thanks steve, that was my intention but just checking the options:thumbsup:
bongobobny Posted April 11, 2010 #4 Posted April 11, 2010 As far as how big a job it is, that depends on your mechanical ability. You will have to tear your front down a ways, but it is pretty much remove your front forks, remove your old triple tree, install the new one reinstall your forks, put the fairing back on if you elected to remove it, and get on with life...
