johnmcd Posted April 9, 2010 #1 Posted April 9, 2010 I have an 08 RSV and am thinking of buying a coachman express camper, it is 450 pound dry weight, is that to heavy for my RSV? If not any recommendations on a good hitch to get?
BradT Posted April 9, 2010 #2 Posted April 9, 2010 Welcome. I think it is a bit heavy but I think it can pull it, not sure I would want too though. There is a couple places you can get hitches, Diamond R comes to mind. I knew a John MacDonald from Dieppe but he moved to Summerville, NS. Not the same person are you ? Brad
johnmcd Posted April 9, 2010 Author #3 Posted April 9, 2010 Thanks for the info. I know it is a bit heavy but it would serve a dual purpouse since it sleeps 4 could be used with my son and our van as well. Just need a good hitch for it. Sorry not the same John
Condor Posted April 9, 2010 #4 Posted April 9, 2010 I think you're stretching it on the weight. The 450# dry weight will not be the max but the minimum. Start adding can goods, coolers, do-dads, and you can easily add another couple of hundred pounds. It's going to be like the tail wagging the dog..... IMHO...
