Yammer Dan Posted April 5, 2010 #1 Posted April 5, 2010 Check tires!! I looked my Cub Cadet over but didn't pay much attention to tires. They had air in them. Guess one was lower than I thought. Made a couple laps and rolled it off the rim. Didn't know they made 1st gen mower in 09!!
Monty Posted April 5, 2010 #2 Posted April 5, 2010 Mine were a little dry-rotted, and I had to air them up every time I mowed. I finally broke down and installed tubes in them, and now all is good.
Cougar Posted April 5, 2010 #3 Posted April 5, 2010 Funny that you brought this up , that is what I did yesterday. My Maintenance day on the ZTR Mower. OIL, Air Filter, Tire check. new blades all ready to go! thinking I will have to start the mowing this coming weekend!
Skid Posted April 6, 2010 #4 Posted April 6, 2010 I just finished cutting my mother's grass this evening for the first time this year. Looks like the fun begins....
Guest seuadr Posted April 6, 2010 #5 Posted April 6, 2010 Ha! i'vegot hard rubber tires.. since i only have a push mower then again, between the snowblower and the push mower, i keep in alright shape on nearly 2 acres.
Hummingbird Posted April 6, 2010 #7 Posted April 6, 2010 I'm pretty sure the tires on my Lawn Boy TWO STROKE 21" self propelled are plastic. don't know what I'll do when I can't get a 2 stroke anymore, no need for stabil, always starts on 1st or 2nd pull. If I would remember to plug it in, I could turn the key to start it.
