bongobobny Posted April 4, 2010 Author #26 Posted April 4, 2010 Wow! that looks like independent rear suspension. Very kool. Yes it is! Also one of the widest wheelbases. Uses a Thunderbird rear end and Bembro disc brakes and SS lines. They are the Cadillac of trikes!!
bongobobny Posted April 4, 2010 Author #27 Posted April 4, 2010 but the mpg !!! :rotf: Yah! around 25 mpg...

99silver Posted April 5, 2010 #31 Posted April 5, 2010 Next week it will lok different... Do you mean no cable thru the front wheel ?
mraf Posted April 5, 2010 #32 Posted April 5, 2010 Very purdy. Should ride sweet with the independent suspension.
bongobobny Posted April 5, 2010 Author #33 Posted April 5, 2010 Next week it will lok different... Do you mean no cable thru the front wheel ? Well, yes it will not have that cable on it, it will have a much heavier duty cable on it!! Also it will have more lights and chrome on it...
Skid Posted April 5, 2010 #34 Posted April 5, 2010 By pic #3, I see it even comes with a light house.....
LilBeaver Posted April 5, 2010 #35 Posted April 5, 2010 COOL! Side question: Doesn't that bag on your front forks hit your front fender when you go over bumps? It looks awfully close
Poledar Posted April 5, 2010 #36 Posted April 5, 2010 Congrats, Bob, on the conversion. Question I have is do they do 1st Gens also, and who are "they"? I had not read of anyone doing them on Ventures, but as the old body is aging, it may become necessary to look into that. Thanks. Poledar:97:
Marcarl Posted April 5, 2010 #37 Posted April 5, 2010 Nice ride there bro,,,,, now don't go getting it dirty, or Becky may have to be employed. Waiting to see it all DRESSED up.
Yammer Dan Posted April 5, 2010 #38 Posted April 5, 2010 SWEET!!! I would think they would do a 1st Gen.....
Evan Posted April 5, 2010 #39 Posted April 5, 2010 Pulled into the driveway at 7:15PM with winds and a cold front chasing us! Everything went absolutely wonderful! ----- Man oh Man, I can't believe I own such a beautiful machine!! Pictures to follow tomorrow sometime... Congratulations Bob on your successful purchase and first trip. Your trike looks fabulous. Hope you and Becky have many many more great trips.
Rickster Posted April 5, 2010 #40 Posted April 5, 2010 Just checked it out at bob and becky's it is a beautiful machine michelle and i are happy for you two, can't wait to see it in action on a ride.
midnite Posted April 6, 2010 #41 Posted April 6, 2010 Glad to see you and Becky made it safely home. Trike looks GREAT. Hannigan does real good work, and paint matches out. See ya'll at MD:thumbsup2:
bongobobny Posted April 6, 2010 Author #43 Posted April 6, 2010 COOL! Side question: Doesn't that bag on your front forks hit your front fender when you go over bumps? It looks awfully close Yes it does, and so does Big Tom's but we both fixed it with a wide piece of plastic adhesive chrome. When it gets way too scratched, we just tear off the old pieces and put on new pieces!!
sleepy2 Posted April 6, 2010 #44 Posted April 6, 2010 VERY nice looking ride you have there NOT that it wasn't nice before! Still dreaming here tho---- still miss my 87(still no front end parts) Look forward to seeing in person.
