aharbi Posted April 2, 2010 #2 Posted April 2, 2010 Lookin good. What do you expect to get out of them? 15-16,000?
GeorgeS Posted April 2, 2010 Author #3 Posted April 2, 2010 Well, at least 16K , The last E2 I had on went over 20K
Kirby Posted April 3, 2010 #4 Posted April 3, 2010 Thanks for the update. I ordered one for the back of my bike today. The Continental I put on recently has about 4,200 miles and it is worn out!!! Won't go that way again!

I have the E2's on my 84 and thay are grate but soon I have to change them. I'm thinking E3's but I'm not sure of their tread pattern? I do a lot of riding and the E2's work good in the rain but the E3's don't look like thay work well in the rain. Have you had any problems with handling when it's wet? I hat to spend the money on something that wont work.

I ordered E3s for my bike but when I got them they were date coded 5 years old. The retailer checked and ALL the the tires the supplier had were dated '05. Dunlop says all motorcycle tires should be removed from service between 6 and 7 years from date code. I ended up with Metzlers and the tread pattern is very close to the E3.

Jethroish Posted April 4, 2010 #8 Posted April 4, 2010 Funny finding this post. Just looked at my E3s yesterday. I have 15,000 miles on them now. I did the ever so exact measument of running my finger through a groove and over the wear bar. Appears to me to have about 5000 miles to go. Odd thing though, the front tire seams to be wearing at about the same rate. I keep them aired up 38-40psi.
