footsie Posted March 31, 2010 #1 Posted March 31, 2010 Well some says If you don't want your daughter on the back of her boyfriends bike, So last week I picked up a 2004 650 V-Star ($2200) for my 16 year old, and she is begining to learn to ride, scheduled to take the rider safety course in May. She has already rode it around the block, its 8 miles around the block we live and is doing good, about 45 mph is her max speed so far, I have told to no more than she is comfortable with, but she's learning. Bike needs a back tire, michellin commander 170/80/15 was delivered today had a new pirelli on frount. But I got the bike for $2200, thought that was excellent for an 04. with 28,000 miles on it. Will post picture tomorrow. Gregg
mini-muffin Posted March 31, 2010 #2 Posted March 31, 2010 Congrat's to your daughter. It'll be great once she's riding to go along with you. Get some pics of her with the bike as well. Maybe even one with her proud dad. Margaret
CaptainJoe Posted March 31, 2010 #3 Posted March 31, 2010 Thats a Darn good price for a 650... I'm selling my 2005 midnight custom with $2000 worth of accessories and I wouldnt take a nickle less than $3500. Figure if I don't I'll still have three bikes ... It's all good ... LOL
donphantasmo Posted March 31, 2010 #4 Posted March 31, 2010 If you start her out young, and give her good habits, she'll be a great rider. And it'll be awesome to go for a bike-night, with the whole family...
