Sling Posted March 29, 2010 #1 Posted March 29, 2010 Under the category...believe it or not...I have photographic proof of Blackjack on a second generation:smile5:. At least it was a midnight. So now it can't be denied. Actually, he was in Augusta to do a big favor for Pastor Paul. His bike needs to be at maintenance day and he is still recuperating from his surgery. Blackjack picked it up and rode it back home in preparation to bring it up to Steve's in a few weeks.
RandyR Posted March 29, 2010 #2 Posted March 29, 2010 I don't know. You can do some strange things with photoshop software...
mini-muffin Posted March 29, 2010 #3 Posted March 29, 2010 It's true I talked to him this past week. He told me he'd be picking up Pastor Paul's bike so it could get to maintenance day. Talk about a good friend. Margaret
YamaDuck Posted March 29, 2010 #4 Posted March 29, 2010 Hey Terry, Man you look good on the 2nd Gen. Maybe one in your future??????
Skid Posted March 29, 2010 #5 Posted March 29, 2010 Looking nice on that Second Gen, but being a Midnight, it makes anyone look great......
Blackjack Posted March 29, 2010 #6 Posted March 29, 2010 I need to give a great big shout out here to Rick and Peggy (in spite of the tell-tale and no doubt compromising photographs!), and give credit where credit is due! Talk about "good friends", they drove over from Augusta this morning in order to give me a ride to PastorPaul's so I could pick up the bike! That's no less than a 300-mile round trip, and without their incredible generosity today's visit would not have taken place. Toni laid out quite a feast for us: fork-tender pork chops, shrimp bathed in butter and garlic, deviled eggs, potato casserole, home-made bread, strawberry shortcake and apple pie! Boy oh boy, was it ever a great meal! It was another wonderful day in the world of VR.org, with special friends stepping up to help out and take care of each other. This place really is as good as it gets, for which I Thank You! one and all. TERRY
DragonRider Posted March 29, 2010 #7 Posted March 29, 2010 I have heard rumors that he knew how to ride one of them things............but it just aaint right.........no no no no............dont look natural. Hope he dont get bit by that 2nd gen bug!!!!! PastorPaul Posted March 29, 2010 #8 Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) First of all I want to thank everybody for thier prayers and help during this time. I ended up having 4 surgerys in as many weeks. Terry has been calling Toni to check on me and to see if she needed anything. Terry is a great friend to have and Toni and I really are greatful for his friendship. Last but not least I want to thank Rick and Peggy for thier freindship. They really went out of their way to help and Toni and I cann't thank them enough. Sorry Terry I have to let the cat out of the bag. Not only is he riding a second Gen , He is riding on the darkside. You go Terry!.:whistling: Edited March 29, 2010 by PastorPaul
Blackjack Posted March 29, 2010 #9 Posted March 29, 2010 I don't know. You can do some strange things with photoshop software... The pictures are real, Randy! Now if only I had been able to take one of Rick's mischievous grin while Peggy was snapping away... It's true I talked to him this past week. He told me he'd be picking up Pastor Paul's bike so it could get to maintenance day. Talk about a good friend. Margaret It certainly deserves to be mentioned here that Margaret has offered to go to Augusta to spend a couple of days to help Toni out. That epitomizes being a good friend! Hey Terry, Man you look good on the 2nd Gen. Maybe one in your future?????? Sure thing, Harry! Can you set me up with a "loaner" from your personal stable? Looking nice on that Second Gen, but being a Midnight, it makes anyone look great...... Of course, you realize, Skid, that my '83 is the original and definitive "Midnight" Venture... I have heard rumors that he knew how to ride one of them things............but it just aaint right.........no no no no............dont look natural. Hope he dont get bit by that 2nd gen bug!!!!! I do, in fact, have a bug, Lewis: if it's got two wheels and a motor, I am more than happy to take it out for a wee bit of a spin! LOL... Sorry Terry I have to let the cat out of the bag. Not only is he riding a second Gen , He is riding on the darkside. You go Terry!.:whistling: Yikes! 2nd Gen. Car Tire. Oh, my! The things we do to help our friends... TERRY
PastorPaul Posted March 30, 2010 #11 Posted March 30, 2010 Terry Look at it this way. 1st you looked good on the second Gen. But then again a Midnight special makes anybody look good. 2nd You don't have to worry about hitting a bump and having large pieces of plastic falling off like a lot of 1st gens do. And third you really are a great friend and Toni and I are very grateful for your friendship. Hopefully one of these days we will get to meet your better half. Ride safe, ride hard, and ride blessed.
mini-muffin Posted March 30, 2010 #12 Posted March 30, 2010 2nd You don't have to worry about hitting a bump and having large pieces of plastic falling off like a lot of 1st gens do. OUCH!!! Someone is feeling better. Margaret
