After a winter of many upgrades, I finally got everything buttoned up and went for a short 40 mile ride.

The upgrades/maintenance that I got done are;

1. Starter clutch mod from Dano.

2. PCW clutch upgrade.

3. Fuse panel from SkyDoc17.

4. Grease, Oil, filter

5. Clean up some P.O. wiring mess.

6. bath and wax

7. solder stator wires

8. seat bolts

9. Radiator flush and fill

10. Trunk reflector fitted with 168 LEDs wired as brake, running, turn lights. (actually done late last fall)

And probably more that I forgot I did.

WHEEW!!!

It felt real good to be back on the road with everything working.

Hey Jeff.

Glad to hear ya got it all back together. Worth the effort isn't it.

Should be right behind ya soon. Should have my clutch kit early this week and it's ready to go.

Jeff, Glad you got some wind in the face. I am still wrenching.

So far -

1) Tighten steering head bearing

2) Added handle bar risers

3) Rerouted throttle cables

4) Changed oil

5) Changed rear end gear oil

6) Upgraded to PCW clutch spring and replaced some blue'd steels

7) Lubed the pins and spline

8) Pulled the carbs, cleaned them up, and set the float levels

Still to do -

1) Lube drive shaft spline and put pumpkin back on

2) Replace rear wheel

3) Set valve shims (hoping to do tomorrow)

4) Change coolant

5) Check front brakes

6) Replace brake and clutch fluid

7) Put it all back together and hope it runs

8) Wash and wax

I am really wanted to ride, but I've got to get this done.

If your bored tomorrow (I guess it's later today by now), come on up. Scooter Bob may be stopping by for some wrenching supervision (him supervising, me wrenching).

 Ya ha, I'll supervise since I just paid the shop to do mine cus I was afraid of dropping things into MY OWN engine. :whistling:

:stickpoke: But I'd love to help work on yours!:rotfl::rotf: :rotfl::rotf:

Seriously, I'd love to help out and know how to do this for next time. A second set of hands to write down clearance values while yours are full of oil can't be a bad thing either.

I'll plan on 1 o'clock unless you call and tell me different 920aaa210aaa4652aaa.

Later, Scooter Bob

Hmmm...

Might be a good way to get rid of all of that nasty old gas leftover from the last decade.

Besides, you two might need supervision....:smile5:

Ya, we can check out the new lights in person too...

Later, Scooter Bob
