BradT Posted March 26, 2010 #2 Posted March 26, 2010 I am no expert but what type of stereo is missing the right side. ? Brad
Squidley Posted March 26, 2010 #3 Posted March 26, 2010 Both front and rear speakers Chuck? There is a fade option on the G2. Only other thing I could think of is a loose connection behind the fairing or that it really is crapped out?
Dano Posted March 26, 2010 #4 Posted March 26, 2010 Hmmmm, gotta work on that 2nd gen already, Eh Charlie? Check all the plugs you can get to, if it was a 1st gen it'd be easy to do! Good luck, you might be ready to ride when it finally gets warm enough to ride up there!
E-Fishin-C Posted March 26, 2010 Author #5 Posted March 26, 2010 My mistake:rotfl: I dont have my scoot yet.... Im talking about a Home Stereo
Squidley Posted March 26, 2010 #7 Posted March 26, 2010 My mistake:rotfl: I dont have my scoot yet.... Im talking about a Home Stereo Open it up and check the fuses on the inside, perhaps there is one for that specific channel....you big dummy!
BradT Posted March 26, 2010 #8 Posted March 26, 2010 Thats why he put it in the watering hole and not Second Gen and look who fell for it. HAHAHA It's probably as old as he is so I my suggestion is replace it. Brad
chabicheka Posted March 26, 2010 #9 Posted March 26, 2010 my guess is.......build up of 'wax' in the right ear....
frankd Posted March 26, 2010 #10 Posted March 26, 2010 If it's the type of stereo with external speakers, swap the plugs for the left and right channels. If the left channel goes quiet the problem is in the player. If the right channel stays quiet, you've got problems in the speaker or cord. Also make sure that the balance control didn't get moved all the way to the left side.
elmicko Posted March 26, 2010 #11 Posted March 26, 2010 There is also a chance that the switches, etc are dirty. Get some good electrical contact cleaner and spray around each of the buttons and knobs on the front (but unplug the thing first). After you spray each button and knob, turn the knob a few times or push the button a few times to help clean out the gunk. I would do the speaker thing mentioned above first, and then try this.
