Cougar Posted March 24, 2010 #1 Posted March 24, 2010 Here is a little program that you can make yours or someone Else's voice work on your Garmin. I was thinking of having my Daughter Enter the voice commands. Like Daddy, I have to recalculate again damn it ! Or you can have your wife or girlfriend yell at you when you made the wrong turn! I think It would be fun to try. Just thought I would pass it along to everybody! have fun with it. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4754 Jeff
Freebird Posted March 24, 2010 #2 Posted March 24, 2010 NOTE that this will not work for all Garmin units. The Zumo 550 is NOT voice compatible and many others aren't also.
Cougar Posted March 24, 2010 Author #3 Posted March 24, 2010 I did not see that on the site Don, can you point that out to me? for the 550 that is. Thanks.
Freebird Posted March 24, 2010 #4 Posted March 24, 2010 Go to this page. http://www8.garmin.com/vehicles/ In the right column it lists models that are voice compatible. Appears to be only some, maybe all, of the Nuvi series.
dragerman Posted March 24, 2010 #6 Posted March 24, 2010 I had to delete almost all the voices on my ZUMO 550 just to make enough room to load the 2010 map update. There’s not much room left on the unit, anything else will have to go on a SD card.
