saddlebum Posted March 31, 2014 #26 Posted March 31, 2014 It the way of batteries,,,,, some are old and done at 3 years, some may go as long as 10 years and still have enough life to spark the engine,,,, like I said, we can let you know when the time is ripe. Don't hold your breath waiting. Like the Eveready I hope to keep going and going and going.

Snaggletooth Posted April 1, 2014 #28 Posted April 1, 2014 Bought my first DEKA several years ago when Condor and I got to comparing them to the Odessy series. The comparison tests and CCA won me over. My first one was in the bike for about 5 years or better i think. Never had a problem. Never charged or on a tender ever. I rode the bike daily and i mean 7 days a week on a service route that meant 20 or more starts a day. I was planning on doing some heavy traveling last summer so i load tested the battery and it was reading out at 25% battery life. Not weak or low volts just a lower life reading so i went ahead and replaced it with a new DEKA. Set the old one aside. This year the bike still gets ridden most every day but it lives out side. Still starts without issue every time even on these subzero temps this winter. Still never been on a charger or tender yet. Neither has the old one. Was working on the bike with a TCI problem last week and had the battery out so just for fun i dropped in the old DEKA. fired right up. I can't say more about the quality or performance of the DEKAs. My battery of choice as long as they are available. From my Droid wherever I may happen to be at any given moment.
