Congrats Randy !!

Looking forward to seeing it at Maint. Day

The seller has to clear the title on it, so I won't have it for a couple weeks, until after maintenance day at your place. Too bad, because I have a feeling just about everything is going to need to be taken apart, lubed properly, new fluids, check brakes, new brake and clutch fluid, etc.

I'm thinking I will pick it up on Saturday April 24th. need to coordinate with the seller.

Randy, as I was out riding tonight the thought came to my mind that I should have driven down to Norwalk and test rode the bike for you! If you would still like for me to do that before you come out here - I will. Sorry I didn't think about it earlier.

Mark,

OK, good idea. I want to be certain of making the 900 mile trip home without problems.

I received the title for the Millenium and a registration for the trailer. I'll pick up plates for them both on Monday.

Will pick it up next Saturday the 24th of April.

I'm arriving on a bus at 10:10pm Friday night. I'll need a place to stay. then pick up the bike on Saturday morning.

Will want to tighten up all the bolts. change the rear gear oil, check air pressure, take a quick short trip wo trailer, then add the trailer & check all the lights. Put a can of Seafoam in the tank. Take another short trip. Then go for a good ride. My first stop will likely be Norwood where there's some family history.

leaving for Iowa this afternoon to get the MM on Saturday morning.

I'll try to sync up with Godlover while in the area...

Unfortunately, the weather forecast is for rain everywhere along my route back to Georgia.

It looks like I might be able to ride in scattered showers instead of rain if I head east first, instead of my normal route south to Missouri. I was thinking about taking I-74 accross Il and then US 41 south in IN to pickup I-24 in Ky, then home.

I think it would be cool to have a Millenium edition M&E one of these days. We'd have to figure out what would be a good central location.

Not to highjack, but I was wondering how many millenium owners we have as members?

I'll start

I think you guys should start a millium registry. # and owner name and state. I bet Don could give some space to one on this board.....

When the wife quit riding I thought I needed a cruiser. Sold #470 - Bought a VTX 1800 - sold it went to an Ultra Classic - Traded the Ultra for a 06 F150 4X4 with 48000 miles plus a 62 impala clone - sold the impala - and was delighted to find the second 2000 MM last fall. Two things brought me back to the RSV - #1: It was the best bike I ever owned - #2: Ventureriders - I loved this forum.

What happened to the bikes between 799 and 1005 seems like a pretty big jump.

Brad

Maybe just maybe they went overseas. Of the 1500 only 1000 went to the US. Now I have never looked into to it but I don't know what numbers Yamaha sent to the US. 1 -1000? 1- 500, 1001 - 1500? It could be any combination. I don't know if Yamaha kept a record or not?:confused24:

Possibly and I believe they will have a record of where they went. I doubt there was any order as to which numbers went where.

Randy enjoy the ride.

I made it home. 900 miles, 800 of which was raining :draming:

So I now have MM #404 steyrhahn@yahoo.com

Don, want to add me to the registry? thanks.

Thanks again to Mark / Godlover for alerting me to the bike. She ran like a top. I'm very happy with the purchase, and will be happier still if the weather for the M&E in Florida next week is good..
