ozzman69 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 so after much analyzing , ive come to the conclusion that my the carbs on my 98 need to be synchronized...is it a hard task?? or am I better off taking it to a shop ?? how much would a shop charge for that?? thanks
Squidley Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Ozz, If you any type of handy and are willing to attempt it, I would do it yourself. The dealer is going to tell you that it's a few hour job and charge you a couple hundred bucks, that BS. You buy yourself a carbtune or some other style of vacuum balancing device and sync the carb yourself. I can usually sync a set of carbs in less than 10 minutes, 5 minutes if I'm not talking. Another option is take a road trip to Texas and I'll adjust them for FREE! or you can search out a member in Cali that has a Carbtune and have them do it. Lots of options for you. BTW the Carbtune, which is what I have can be purchased for right at $100 and you'll have it for the rest of your days http://www.carbtune.com/

He has never stopped talking long enough to know how quick he can do a sync job...
