Seriously though, I don't see why someone cant make a 3/4 helmet with a face guard much like the pro NFL helmets. They wouldn't restrict the airflow and would be as cool as a half helmet to wear not to mention a lot safer.

They do, they are moto cross helmets. Well thats what we did anyways back in the dark ages. There wernt any full face helmets. Bell had just came out with their first ones called a "star" I think.

Anyways I have an EXO 100 and it works well for me. I like it. I also have a Bell Mag8 3/4 helmet, that now I have the Venture its what I put the intercom stuff in. My state is a "helmet optional" state, but yet if I'm in the cage and dont have on a seatbelt I get a ticket?? Waz up with dat?

I wear an OUTLAW half helmet that I have been very satisfied with. It is DOT approved.

GMax55...DOT approved, smaller and lightweight also. GMax55S has a flip down sun shield....

Not sure if I have a mushroom head but my helmet is a ZR 1 all day comfort reasonable price and there made more oval for American heads.
