wolfmanjj Posted March 18, 2010 #1 Posted March 18, 2010 All, I was recently in a rather serious accident and have lost a lot of bend in my right leg thus I am having a difficult time getting my foot to my rear brake pedal. I am interested in installing an intregrated brake system on my 2001 Midnight Venture. Have any of you done this or know if it is possible? I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks in advance!
LilBeaver Posted March 18, 2010 #2 Posted March 18, 2010 I seem to recall some discussion of this in the Tech area but after some quick searching, I couldn't find anything (but that doesn't mean it isn't there). I would look around there some more and if you cannot find anything I'd contact either Skydoc_17 (Earl) or Rick Butler (Rick). They will most likely either be able to point you in the right direction or set you up with some sort of kit to git-r-done. Good luck!! (sorry to hear about your leg)
flb_78 Posted March 18, 2010 #3 Posted March 18, 2010 Aussie Annie had something done for her rear brake instead of using the foot pedal.
warthogcrewchief Posted March 18, 2010 #4 Posted March 18, 2010 If money isn't a concern, go to an automatic (or electric) clutch. Then use the left hydraulic clutch handle for one of the brakes and the other brake handle for the other brake system.
LilBeaver Posted March 18, 2010 #5 Posted March 18, 2010 Aussie Annie had something done for her rear brake instead of using the foot pedal. I forgot about that. Here is a thread that talks about it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41867 Good call Forrest.
