Biker Bob Posted October 9, 2007 #1 Posted October 9, 2007 I have this thing about Crusin through town, playin tunes. when i'm on the Highway i usually just listen to whatever i happen to have on the stero. But when i hit town i have this 30 minute tape of Duane Eddy's Rebel Rouser that i play, while riding through town. I crank it up so all the cagers and passer byes can hear. just my way of sayin i'm here, have a great day. Bob:322:
Yama Mama Posted October 10, 2007 #2 Posted October 10, 2007 Yes we always have our tunes on our I Pod. We like the old tunes, usually a combination of old rock, old country, rock-a-billy, blue grass, and "outlaw" music. We like those old guitar classics too. Nothing better on a long ride. Sailor Posted October 10, 2007 #3 Posted October 10, 2007 I stopped at a crosswalk, had Jerry Lee Lewis cranked. The person crossing stopped, looked at me and said " You are just having way too much fun." I agreed with him.
Twenty7Delta Posted October 10, 2007 #4 Posted October 10, 2007 I'm usually into Johnny Cash or AC/DC but I also play the bagpipes and I love the looks I get when I have the Simon fraser University pipe band or a good solo recording cranked up. I usually get some thumbs up!!
dynodon Posted October 10, 2007 #5 Posted October 10, 2007 Glad to hear another Duane Eddy fan is out there! I have some of his old albums and he was superb, and way ahead of his time. Boot Randolph is not bad either. They backed each other up frequently. I used to autocross to some marches by the Boston Pops, may try that also on the bike. Some of the early Beatles are also good cruisin tunes.
cowpuc Posted October 10, 2007 #6 Posted October 10, 2007 Willie Nelson = Cowboy Biker Music.. I even named my last Venture MUSIC..
Sailor Posted October 10, 2007 #7 Posted October 10, 2007 I like cruisin to J.J. Cale. I have Duane Eddy, Chet Atkins, Boots Randolph and others from that era in my record collection. I named my first sail boat after Gogi Grants "Wayward Wind". Come to think of it, that would fit my bike too.
