Double D Posted March 19, 2010 #26 Posted March 19, 2010 Picked my bike up from the shop yesterday and I have ridden it at all speeds and the :dancefool:WHINE IS GONE!!!! :dancefool: As others have said, it may come back and if it does I will just have to get used to it because I love this bike regardless. I guess the "I" basket made the difference and while I was at it, I went with Amsoil synthetic oil this time.
SilvrT Posted March 19, 2010 #27 Posted March 19, 2010 As I add more miles to mine since the I-basket was installed, it seems to be getting even quieter. I'm also noticing that since I've been crankin it to the rev limiter a few times, the engine seems to run smoother and quieter. She's now just over the 20,000 kilometer mark
Cougar Posted March 19, 2010 #28 Posted March 19, 2010 Please keep us posted on how it is after a while please. Good choice on the oil as well, I found that is the only oil that has helped reduce mine- speaking for myself that is. Glad to hear that the WHINE is gone for you. Jeff

She's now just over the 20,000 kilometer mark I think I will use that excuse for hitting the rev limiter more often. Hitting the rev limiter sort of scares me since I put the Dyno 3000 on the bike and the limiter is higher.
