BIG TOM Posted March 7, 2010 #2 Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) Taters is still asleep....The loritabs have kicked in......she sleeped well last night....I am lost without her.... I feel so very bad to see her in pain. Taters didn't want me to post, but what happened was that she was dusting 2 nights ago and tripped backwards and shattered her wrist...very bad break, the bones were set twice in two days ,but the're still not right..she will have to have surgery on the wrist this comming week...we had a group of ventureriders over yesterday for a pizza party and taters was looking foward to seeing everyone, but instead she spent the day with the orthopedic surgeon trying to reset the bones...thank you guys for helping out..Taters was so happy that we were able to go on even though she was not here most of the time...she hopes she didn't ruin the party and wanted to thank everyone for bringing desserts and such....I will keep everyone posted on her progress.... Monty Posted March 7, 2010 #3 Posted March 7, 2010 Ouch! I hope they get it set right, and she can start her healing. I feel for her.
Chaharly Posted March 7, 2010 #4 Posted March 7, 2010 That sounds really painful, but lets look at it this way. At least it was just her wrist, a fall backwards can end up alot better. I hope she gets her bone's put back in the right places without surgery, but if she rides a venture she must be tough, so i have faith!
mother Posted March 7, 2010 #5 Posted March 7, 2010 tell Taters we are thinking of her. heal well young lady! Scott and Sherry
Squidley Posted March 7, 2010 #6 Posted March 7, 2010 We'll keep her in our toughts, you too bud...sorry to hear of this but let us know what either of you need.
BuckShot Posted March 7, 2010 #7 Posted March 7, 2010 Sorry to hear about her accident. Hope everything goes alright. Know how she feels, fell backward a few years ago and broke my wrist. Not as bad as hers. Learned an important lesson from the doc. that day---No matter what, when you fall backward, don't put your hands out behind you to stop your fall. (its very hard not to do) let your behind take the fall, and lean forward when you hit the ground so your head doesn't hit the ground.
cecdoo Posted March 7, 2010 #8 Posted March 7, 2010 Sorry to hear this Tom, give Taters our best wishes for a speedy recovery, Take care, Craig
