DarkMeister Posted March 8, 2010 Share #30 Posted March 8, 2010 1979 Honda CB750K - the one that popped my cherry and one that still seems to set parameters for what appeals to me... Like the shape of the tank, or the 4-in-4, or the wire wheels. Memories... 1981 Kawasaki 1100 Sold to buy a snowblower. Pathetic. On to minivans for a few years. 1984 and 1985 Honda(s) 1100 Sabre. 1999 BMW K1200LT 2003 BMW K1200LT Relatively rare. Just like the dealerships - closest to me is two hours away. 2008 Venture. Current ride. Bought it late in the fall so we haven't bonded yet...

hig4s Posted March 9, 2010 Share #33 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) 1970 Yamaha mini enduro 60cc first bike, learned to ride, lived in the UP of Michigan and wandered the logging trails, my first freedom. 1972 Yamaha AT125 enduro first street legal bike, got my MC license the same day I got my car license and drove this to high school when weather permitted. 1975 Honda MT250 Elsinore Honda's first street legal 2-stroke, first bike I paid for 100% myself, drove it weekends from Great Lakes Naval station to Grand Rapids MI where my mom had moved to. Took it with me in the trunk of my car when I was stationed in Long Beach CA,, My first trip to Disneyland I was just cruising around on it and there was Disney, I pulled in, they had free motorcycle parking so I stopped. 1978 Yamaha XS650 first full street bike, explored all over Southern Calif. 1970 Kawasaki Mach III 500 My first basket case, bought it just after I was transferred to Pearl Harbor. Fixed it up, road it for about a year until it blew up. 1976 XT500 second basketcase, got it in a box for $50.. road it for a year off road only. 1982 Yamaha Seca 750 Started amateur drag racing with this bike. Didn't do too bad. 1983 Suzuki 230 quadsport Got it just after I got out of the Navy and moved back to Michigan. Did one year amateur hare scrambles quad racing, did quite well. 1985 Honda XR200 missed dirtbikes, bought this but keep the quad, would have friends out with me and let them ride the quad. 1987 KTM EXC250 the best all around off road bike I ever had. 1988 Kawasaki Ninja 750 Just cool, made me feel like Top Gun!!! actually toured with it some. 1999 Husqvarna CR125 Bought this when my son turned 12 and I got him an XR100. 2003 kawasaki ZR-7S 750 Added Givi bags and trunk and got serious about touring. 2003 KTM MX250 Decide to up the ante when my son moved up to a YZ125. This bike scared me. 2007 Yamaha RSV My wife said if I got something comfortable for a passenger she would tour with me. They were all special to me. Evan Posted March 9, 2010 Share #34 Posted March 9, 2010 My first bike (after riding a Diamler scooter for almost a year) was a 63 Honda 90. After that, I remember owning: - a 65 305 Honda Dream - a 68 650 Triumph (which I sold when I got married and have regretted ever since) - a Vespa 150 (a deal from my cousin) - a 70's Suzuki Titan 500 - a 70's KZ 650 kawasaki (which I liked very much and kept for about 20 years) - a mid 80's Gold Wing - a Suzuki 100 and a Honda 250 Custom (which I bought for my daughters) - a 400 kawasaki (another deal) - a 90's Honda Magna - a 90 Pacific Coast - my current 88VR
