KeithR Posted March 6, 2010 #8 Posted March 6, 2010 Nothing worse than losing a nut! Here's my .99 solution Keith http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27341&highlight=lost+seat+hold
Oldslow Posted March 6, 2010 Author #9 Posted March 6, 2010 Well thanks Keith Rose...Nice to see another Newfie on the board...I hail from Baie Verte myself and my wife is from Glovertown. I'm considering a couple of tight fitting chunks of hard rubber tube to turn on over those studs.
warthogcrewchief Posted March 6, 2010 #10 Posted March 6, 2010 I hear there's a procedure to reverse the damage.
Cougar Posted March 6, 2010 #11 Posted March 6, 2010 And I woke up from a wonderful NAP, to read this stuff? OH MY!

dmoff1698 Posted March 7, 2010 #13 Posted March 7, 2010 Accidentally or on purpose? I have lost my left seat nut twice now!! Both times I found it jamed between the starter and the transmission!!!!!!! Lord knows how long it had been riding there. It was just luck that I saw it the first time, the second time I knew where to look.
Monty Posted March 7, 2010 #14 Posted March 7, 2010 I lost a nut this morning too....I thought that was a good thing.
Chaharly Posted March 7, 2010 #15 Posted March 7, 2010 We used to have a teacher that had a replacement nut. Damn dealership made it out of rubber!!! The sad thing is that im not kiddin, he only actually had one
Mike G in SC Posted March 13, 2010 #16 Posted March 13, 2010 Hey, a FYI: If you ever loose your shifter bolt on the run, the side cover dummy bolts will do the trick till you can reorder a new one. (and use some Loctite) If you already know this it's because you once said "HOLY S*&%" when you started to downshift and your whole shifter flopped down on your floorboard.

Figured it out on my own under the lights of a toll booth in Oklahoma. I was certainly a pucker moment when I went to downshift and there was nothing there. RR
