Dave, most on this site who have had the original OEM "Brickstones" will tell you to stay away from them. I'm only talking about the OEM tires, not sure about their other models. That being said about the only other choice for WWWs is the Dunlop 404s. I've had about 6 pair and don't have an issue with them but others don't like them for various reasons. Avon did sell WWWs but I haven't seen them offered from them in a while. Oh, they still show the front available in the 130 size but I haven't seen the rear available from Avon in WWW for quite a while.

The Dunlop 404s were the only WWW I could find. IMHO the 404s are an adequate tire for the Royal Stars. Most folks say they are a short mileage tire. I have about 3000 miles on the rear one of '98 RSTC and while I have not measured it, there IS noticeable wear on it. Again I have not measured the front tire (about 2000 miles on it) but no noticeable wear on it. Since my RSTC is a new (to me) ride, I don't have anything to compare handling. So, I can only say, to me, it handles fine. Others say the EIIs, EIIIs or Avons handle better.

I've got 12000 to 14000 miles on every set of 404s I've had.

Let me defend Brickstone tires, I will be the first to say they make a awesome flower bed or boat anchor....

So they are not a bad tire they have many uses, just not on a bike is all..

Dave I've got a set of Avon Venoms WWW that I put on last year, have got 13000km on so far. Should be good for a while yet. I've got a Diamond R back rest that I like, alot of guys here have bought Utopia as well. And I also have a set of stock road king mufflers that give a little more growl then RSV mufflers, but don't piss off the neighbours.

I tried them as a flower garden once and nothing but weeds came up.
