jrcain32 Posted March 3, 2010 #1 Posted March 3, 2010 I promise this will be the last question or two about the rear shock (from me anyway). I have a '99 RSV that I am putting a new rear shock on. I have been assured that the newer shock, that was changed starting with '05, will fit. The newer shock has, I'm assuming, a vent hose. What do I do with it? Is there a certain place it has to be routed to?
YamaDuck Posted March 3, 2010 #2 Posted March 3, 2010 My shock that I replaced on my 2000MM did not have the vent tube. The replacement shock that I replaced the old shock with has the vent tube. I just ran the vent tube up beside the battery and zip tied it so it would stay in place. I saw a newer model RSV and the vent tube was routed to the same place but there was a piece from the factory that held it in place. A zip tie worked fine for me.
Cougar Posted March 3, 2010 #4 Posted March 3, 2010 He might be on #5 but I do not think anybody ride's the RSV harder the Mike does
