Just bought my first bike-1999 Royal Star Venture. I am about 6'6" tall. When sitting in the seat it tends to push you forward toward the fuel tank. Any ideas or any particular after market seat you guys have had experience with that might help with this problem?

Welcome to the site... there is a member here who rebuilds the seats, his name is Rick Butler, he will rework your seat to fix any problems that you are having... look him up and send him a message..

Also, there are a number of after market seats available but it is sure hard to recommend one because NOBODY agrees which one is best. Some work well for some and not for others. Your best bet would be to attend one of our meets and hopefully you would get the opportunity to sit on some different ones.

If you are frugal then let Rick Butler have a shot at your current seat.

If you have $$$$ to burn send it to me and I'll come up with a few more suggestions for you.....

Boomer....who sez you won't regret getting the Butler Mod done to yer seat.

Tell Rick what you are experiencing with your stock seat...he will fix it. I needed to be able to touch the ground flat footed with both feet...he did that plus made it sit better for the LONG halls.

For so little money...I would try Rick out first.

Seriously, try the Butler seat mod first.. best price and you'll love it. I have two seats done by Mr Butler.. a pillow seat which I prefer best and the one that came with the midnight bike (non-pillow).. dunno why but I find the pillow one best.. =)

I can ride all day and all night.. ;)

BEST mod money I'd ever spent on any bike..

Does your bike have the leveling links on it. These will make the rear end rise. I put them on my bike but took them off because with them I felt like I was being pushed forward when I sat on the bike.
