Are Khrome Werks slip ons for a Harley Touring the same pipes for the Venture?

Typically, anything that can fit on a Harley Road King etc will work on a Venture, if you have the plate adapter etc..

I can tell you that the Khrome Werks slipons that I purchased were listed as for the Venture and they were originally designed for a Harley, because along with the instructions for mounting them to a Venture they sent along instructions that at the top of the page for the installation instructions it states " 3" HP-PLUS MUFFLER W/MULTI-TIPS F/L85-94 & 95-98 FL & TOURING MODELS "

The Venture kit does come with the adapter plates required to mount them to the Venture.

is the change out from stock to the Khromewerks pipes difficult?

It would be no more difficult than changing to Road King mufflers and that is a breeze.

No it is a easy as pie, take the hanger bolts loose , the clamps loose slide oem mufflers off, assemble the Kromewerks hangers, bolt up attach clamps and fire it up.

What would you need to get stock Road King pipes to fit a Second Gen?. Do they sound better than stock RSV pipes?

Glenn

Glenn, have you done a search on this site for Road King? There's ton's of info.

To answer your question, they are a "slip on" fit. You will need a bracket for the rear mount and I'd recommend getting the V-Twin clamps. Info on all of this is in several places on the site.

Yes, they do sound better IMHO. I have them and I've drilled out the baffles and I really love the sound and total cost to me was under $100 CAN.

There are different Road King pipes. I have the RK slant cut pipes and they sound better IMHO. There is a member here somewhere that makes the bracket to mount them. Ebay has some chrome clamps for $36.
