I need to remove the headlight assemblies on my 2009 Silverado. I found the 2 screws on top but don't know if there's a hidden screw or a slip socket. The bottom outside corner seems to have something holding it - too expensive to start ripping too hard.

thanks - - - -

I can't tell you about the Chevy, but any time i need to figure out how to work on the dodge or buick, I just google it, it usually comes up on utube with a video how to do it. Hope that helps.

Can't find a silverado but here is the avalanche headlight removal, maybe it's the same.

Aspen60 - THANKS - I looked everywhere on the net EXCEPT utube. :bang head: duh !

Those hidden screws are what I was looking for. All I want to do is change the lamps to a white lamp.

OK - I guess if a lamp blows out you get to disassemble the front end to change it. I really would like to THANK the GM design engineers for their very thoughtful design. I guess when you get paid their kind of salary, you don't have to worry about fixing it yourself. Just take it to the local garage - thanks GM engineers :clap2:

I thought it looked a little bit complex just to change a bulb also, maybe they really did need all that bail out money, maybe, just maybe they need to replace the engineers.

Having been exposed to commercial construction (electrical) I truly believe that architects and engineers live in their own little world and have no concept of what it takes to actually (hands on ) replace things that they have designed and had approved for installation. :bang head:

Changing that darn lamp was a perfect example. What angers me is that had the bulbs burned out, they are covered under the bumper to bumper warranty but me in my infinite wisdom decided that the white lamp needs to be in place of the factory lamps.

duh - did I say wisdom ? sorry, I won't say that again -
