Seaking Posted February 20, 2010 Author #26 Posted February 20, 2010 Which headlight bulb are you using? Oh gees, good question! I changed the bulb when I brought the bike in for the winter and dunno what I did with the box.. ergh.. wasn't a PIAA.. If I find the box I'll let you know.
N3FOL Posted February 20, 2010 #27 Posted February 20, 2010 I am using the Intense White bulbs from Piaa and they are OUTSTANDING in this bike!!!!! There website is HERE How long have you had the bulb in the bike? Just wondering, because motorcycles have lots of vibration and want to know if these PIAA lamps will last long enough on a bike.
Seaking Posted February 20, 2010 Author #28 Posted February 20, 2010 Which headlight bulb are you using? Finally found the info lol.. This is what I have installed.. Phillips MotoVision https://motobarn.com/product.php?productid=1030994&cat=0&bestseller=Y My buddy has it installed on his bike. It washes out what the highway lamps put forth on the road, hence why I proceeded with the amber highway lights. Cheers
KiteSquid Posted February 20, 2010 #29 Posted February 20, 2010 How long have you had the bulb in the bike? Just wondering, because motorcycles have lots of vibration and want to know if these PIAA lamps will last long enough on a bike. About three days after I bought the bike in 2007 the Piaa H4 bulb went in. I bought a two pack via mail order, so if it blows out I have a spare. I have not replaced it yet....... For you guys with the H3 passing lamps, Piaa makes a GREAT yellow bulb but it is only available in 50 Watts....
N3FOL Posted February 21, 2010 #30 Posted February 21, 2010 Nice, KiteSquid. I've seen several H4s available on eBay. Thanks for the info.
Seaking Posted March 13, 2010 Author #31 Posted March 13, 2010 What can I say.. the Motovision headlight bulb blasts out the amber highway light so you don't actually see them shed amber light on anything.. however, the amber lights do not hide the amber turn signals at all.. Though the amber highway lights are not in your face bright, they are however, very noticeable and makes the bike easier to pick up amongst night traffic. Not bad, I'm quite impressed. Over all, a nice effect. We'll see what it's like in the fog later on this spring =)
