saddlebum Posted February 17, 2010 #1 Posted February 17, 2010 When I copy and paste a picture it always shows up great at the time, but the next day all you see is a big red x
SilvrT Posted February 17, 2010 #2 Posted February 17, 2010 probably because when you "paste" it, it inserts a reference to it's location which is not necessarilly available after the fact...??? (wild guess)
Guest seuadr Posted February 17, 2010 #3 Posted February 17, 2010 where are you pasting it from? if it's from your computer, then no one else can see it because it's a location only you have access too. if it's from a website, like photobucket, if you rename it or move it in your albums it could change the destination address, and again no one has access to it. could you give us an example pic (which of course won't break, because now you want it to) ?
jburrell Posted February 17, 2010 #4 Posted February 17, 2010 Instead of pasting the pictures you need to attach them using the "Additional Options" ( manage attachments) available below the window you are writing in for new messages and replys. You attach it by browsing to it and then "uploading it" to the site. jb:hurts:
mother Posted February 17, 2010 #5 Posted February 17, 2010 When I copy and paste a picture it always shows up great at the time, but the next day all you see is a big red x     -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- you bad boy, i keep telling you that those type of pics are not allowed here. :rotfl::rotfl:
saddlebum Posted February 18, 2010 Author #6 Posted February 18, 2010 here is an example http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45404 In this thread I copied and pasted the picture as well as uploading it as an attachement the copy /paste one comes back as a red X instead of a picture. but as you can see the attachement was fine.
Freebird Posted February 18, 2010 #7 Posted February 18, 2010 It really does depend upon where you copied and pasted it from. For example...if you copy and paste it from your email then it won't be seen by anybody but you as nobody else can access your email. There are many examples of where copy and paste just don't work. You are simply linking to the location of the picture, not actually transferring the picture to here.
