Blackjack Posted October 5, 2007 #1 Posted October 5, 2007 For anyone that lives within striking distance of Birmingham AL (or for that matter, anyone wanting to take a road trip!), the 3rd Annual Vintage Festival takes place Oct. 19-21 at the Barber Motorsports Park. Here's a link to follow for more info: http://www.barbermotorsports.com/events/barber/event-ahrma-general.php We included the Museum during last years' AL Meet & Eat. It is an amazing and highly-recommended place to visit! Terry
86er Posted October 8, 2007 #2 Posted October 8, 2007 A friend of mine goes to this each year and he said it is really cool seeing all the vintage bikes that show up. It's also supposed to be some really great racing! He said I should take my truck out there. He said it would fit in well! Thought about it but I'm not sure if I will.
RandyR Posted April 16, 2009 #3 Posted April 16, 2009 The museum there has 1100 motorcycles on 5 floors. I couldn't believe the web pictures of the place. I'll have to get over there. Maybe do it the same weekend as a Birmingham gun show... Its 2 hours of highway driving from Atlanta, but might make a good M&E destination. http://www.barbermuseum.org/index.html
Brake Pad Posted April 16, 2009 #4 Posted April 16, 2009 Been there did it. Me pictured with an old friend. the 1982 Honda CBX ( I had the same bike) 0-137 in 22 seconds
davecb Posted April 17, 2009 #5 Posted April 17, 2009 It's a great place to see. I guarentee you will see the first bike you owned there. My brother and I spent 3 1/2 hours to walk it. That was not too much gawking over the bikes and cars. It is worth a trip to see this place.....
