I will be shipping out to every one that has ordered one. I have extras, so if you would like one and have not ordered, see below for info. I have include a PDF cut from the 1st Gen & RSV service manuals relating to the procedure to set torque. Pay attention to text about setting torque wrench at a 90 degree angle to wrench. Not doing so will affect torque reading. Also listed below are the threads relating to this tool. Gary http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45046 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44833 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44719 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44668&highlight=steering+head http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af193/gdingy101/PICT5202.jpg The procedure for setting steering head torque is outlined in the service manuals beginning with the 1986 manual. This is under Periodic Inspection & Adjustment - Chassis - Steering Head Adjustment. Also, if you are the proud owner of the MKI (83-85) Ventures, you could use the procedure outlined in the 86-93 manual. If you need a copy of this procedure I can provide it for you. mabeline Posted March 2, 2010 #12 Posted March 2, 2010 I could have walked to your place and back quicker. The tachs you sent came in good time. It seems the bigger the package the quicker it goes through customs, they get tired of tripping over it. Ordered a windshield came in a week. Conrad

mabeline Posted March 2, 2010 #15 Posted March 2, 2010 Rocket You're only a little more then a stones throw away from me. Should get together for a java maybe. PM me if you'd like and we can exchange phone numbers. Conrad
Marcarl Posted March 2, 2010 #16 Posted March 2, 2010 Got mine last week,,, it made good time. What I have figured out is this: if you ship from the States to Canada, ship the first of the week, that way the package moves right through customs. If you ship the end of the week, it gets buried over the weekend and then it takes time to uncover it, so it's Wednesday before it moves on again. Just my experience. Carl
camos Posted March 2, 2010 #17 Posted March 2, 2010 Mine came to my mailbox yesterday but didn't get it until today. Nicely made little tool. It fits my Virago 1100 as well. Thanks a bunch for doing this for us Gary.
DragonRider Posted March 3, 2010 #18 Posted March 3, 2010 Got mine yesterday, thanks, looked a lot bigger in the pic, will fit nicely in my tool kit. Thanks again for doing this. We have some very handy people on this site, what a great deal to belong to this group for $12.00.
saddlebum Posted November 19, 2010 #20 Posted November 19, 2010 Pay attention to text about setting torque wrench at a 90 degree angle to wrench. Not doing so will affect torque reading. Gary if due to space you need to use it straight in line with the torgue wrench there is a math formula you need to use to calculate for the difference in length. Here are some links that explains it and it actually includes an online conversion calculator so you don't have to do the math your self http://www.freeinfostuff.com/TorqueExtension/TorqueExtension.htm this second one has a downloadable zip file that you can put on your pc and it performs the caculations instantly as you change the numbers in the boxes http://www.belknaptools.com/extcalc.asp Using an inline extension and some calculating you can use your torque wrench to tighten bolts that are outside of your torque wrenches normal capacity.
