sallys dad Posted February 12, 2010 #1 Posted February 12, 2010 I'm a relatively new member and Venture owner, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. Over the past week I did some winter projects on the Venture that include: passing lamp install using Freebird's wiring diagram for the relay and Tony Dathan's spacer, an auxillary fuse panel behind the battery like several members suggested, Goose's carb heater switch, Goose's fix for the broken windshield bracket tabs (yes, broken tabs with only 3400 miles), and CarbonOne's bracing for the front crash guards. All of your postings on these issues saved me lots and lots of time and money, and for this I am thankful. In addition ... I am thankful that today I got to ride for a couple of hours! It was mostly sunny, upper 30s, 5-10 mph wind ... awesome!! Art Thomas, aka "sallys dad":thumbsup2::thumbsup2:

Yammer Dan Posted February 12, 2010 #5 Posted February 12, 2010 That's great! Yes these old far**,, er I mean 'experienced gentlemen'....on here know there stuff! sallys dad Posted February 12, 2010 Author #7 Posted February 12, 2010 I live in northeast Kansas about 15 miles from Topeka. Regarding the previous comment on warranty, I saw no reason to have the entire inner fairing replaced with a new one with tabs for the windshield bracket that would soon just break again. Additionally, the couple of hours it took to make the brackets was a lot less time wasted than taking it to the dealer. Art
mini-muffin Posted February 12, 2010 #8 Posted February 12, 2010 Well can't argue with that logic. Glad you found everything you needed. Now you need to make some plans to make some events so you can meet some of these family members. Oh and when you do meet any of us just remember normal is relative. :whistling:You'll understand that after you meet some of us in person. Margaret
wes0778 Posted February 12, 2010 #9 Posted February 12, 2010 Oh and when you do meet any of us just remember normal is relative. You'll understand that after you meet some of us in person. Margaret Especially if we have escaped our straight jackets...
mini-muffin Posted February 12, 2010 #10 Posted February 12, 2010 Wes we could have saved the straight jackets as a surprise.:crackup:He hasn't been fitted for his yet. Oppss forgot we don't tell them that so they show up. Darn. :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:
