Freebird Posted April 17, 2012 Author #26 Posted April 17, 2012 No, I only update it about once a year because it is a real pain in the butt. You are correct though, it is probably time to update it again. I'll try to get it done over the next couple of weeks.
Flyinfool Posted June 5, 2013 #27 Posted June 5, 2013 I know it is a PITA. But it might be getting to be time again.........
bmiller Posted July 21, 2013 #28 Posted July 21, 2013 I have checked of that I would like to be on the contact list and filled in the details. As I am not on the attached list I was wondering if |I missed a step? Please advise.
IronMike Posted February 18, 2014 #29 Posted February 18, 2014 Im wondering if its actually needed this day and age. I think about your only hope to really contact someone who could help you would be to shout out here in the watering hole. And let people with real computers do some magic. Joining the AMA and get the free towing is cool plus a lot of other benefits. And even so to help all bikers, even the Hardley guys we should all be enrolled in BAM. http://www.russbrown.com/join-bam.html And Old Russ has lots of info and checklist that should be with you when you ride. Check him out. http://www.russbrown.com/join-bam.html We have a similar thing on the Roadstar Clinic, When my windshield mount broke on a trip, I gave a shout out on the Clinic and waited 8 hours, Then I just googled Weld shops and found a guy at the right time and was on my way. That google get ya about out of anything.
firea100 Posted April 8, 2014 #30 Posted April 8, 2014 Just wondering how often the list gets upgraded? Put my info in and doesn't show up. Thanks, Larry in East China Mi.
Freebird Posted April 8, 2014 Author #31 Posted April 8, 2014 Not very often. I'll try to work on it over the next couple of weeks though.

Plus your getting help from people who know their way around the venture. For those reasons I myself am glad we have the list and would like to see it kept up.

From my point of view (newcomer ) and to clarify, I totally agree with you that the list has value and should be maintained and be made available to actual members of the site. What I do not agree with is heading in the direction of a list that gets broadcasted throughout the internet, emailed or is made available to anyone without any forms of controls. Lets remember that the list contains information that could be used for bad things also. In this age of internet fraud, I would prefer, as a member, to know where the list is and have access to it (like it is set up now) so I could review it prior to trips and decide which parts of it could be of use at that time. I would also want to know that my information is protected and will not be used negativelly. Edited April 16, 2014 by Bert2006

You will find that instead of getting the list you get a notification that you must be logged in as a valid member in order to see the list. On the other hand, call me a pessimist if you like, but I don,t believe anything is sacred anymore. If you have a cell phone, a computer, use the cloud on line banking or e-file your taxes. You are out there in the open and touchable. welcome to technology. , Do You Love It. Edited April 17, 2014 by saddlebum
