FROG MAN Posted February 7, 2010 #1 Posted February 7, 2010 Looks like MaMamo may be looking for another job. Her employer is selling the business. She has been through this work your way up to be knocked back down scenario about 7 times now. Maybe 8 is her lucky number. Anyway I'm ready to do what has to be done should she be out of work for a while. I know one thing there will be no more take a cut in pay and start over as a cashier. She has been Asst Manager for the last 12 years on various jobs. It's only :mo money:
Squidley Posted February 7, 2010 #2 Posted February 7, 2010 Best of luck to her in finding another job, I can tell you 1st hand it is BRUTAL trying to find decent work at a liveable wage
FROG MAN Posted February 7, 2010 Author #3 Posted February 7, 2010 I know Brad. It takes literally everything I make just to pay the bills. Her income means we can have a life.
dunvilsteev Posted February 7, 2010 #4 Posted February 7, 2010 I can feel your pain brother. USSteel bought out the Canadian plants, got all the customers, and sent their orders south, then we were given a choice ..... indefinite layoff or take an early (mucho $$ reduction) retirement. Not much choice .... so here I am 52 yr old and fighting 18 year olds for stinkin' MacJobs. Good to see all those banking and investment criminals getting their bonuses again, hate to see them suffer too!
Monty Posted February 7, 2010 #5 Posted February 7, 2010 I hope she finds a decent job that she enjoys....and soon. Jobs are hard to find right now, but maybe this was a blessing in disguise, because her dream job is about to open up for her. One can only hope. Good luck!!
Venturous Randy Posted February 7, 2010 #6 Posted February 7, 2010 I feel real lucky to have a job, but I never feel real secure. But, after picking up the divorce papers Friday that my wife has filed thru her lawyer, I may be just as well off not having a job if I have to pay what she wants. I now have no other choice than go the lawyer route and to think what I could have done with that money. RandyA
mini-muffin Posted February 7, 2010 #7 Posted February 7, 2010 Sorry to hear that Gerald. I hope Ramona can find something. Randy sorry to hear about the divorce problems. Good luck to all. Margaret
