jimbucks Posted February 4, 2010 #1 Posted February 4, 2010 Ok, all you experts out there in 3 wheel land, who can tell who's kit this is? Found the pics on a UK motorcycle website. http://motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/Custom/yamaha-venture-royal.jpg
wes0778 Posted February 4, 2010 #3 Posted February 4, 2010 Since the original saddlebags are still in place I wonder if this is an add-on kit(4 wheels on the ground), similar to the Voyager?
Cougar Posted February 5, 2010 #4 Posted February 5, 2010 That is neat. I bet it is like a plug in type kit as well. Very Interesting.
jimbucks Posted February 5, 2010 Author #5 Posted February 5, 2010 I wrote the webmaster for the site to see if he knows but have yet to here back from him. From the other picture I have, it does not seem to be '4' wheels down but can't tell for sure. The simplicity of it using the original bags and such is what has my interest but I'm thinking it may be an overseas kit and the cost of getting it to the USA may make it to much when one can still get a Triwing for about $7K.
Cougar Posted February 5, 2010 #6 Posted February 5, 2010 Your right ,. there is no rear center wheel. please keep us posted as to what you find out please. Thanks, Jeff
barend Posted February 5, 2010 #7 Posted February 5, 2010 cool looking set up for a MkII. Like it better then the Hannigan or tri-wing maybe if there is enough interest you can do a group buy? Other option may be to see if there are any active military who are moving back stateside. Pay them a little extra and have it shipped back by Uncle:confused07::confused07:
Pappa Bear Posted February 6, 2010 #8 Posted February 6, 2010 Looks like they took a front clip from a small sports car and notched it out like the guy did with the utility trailer!! Best looking one I think
jimbucks Posted February 6, 2010 Author #9 Posted February 6, 2010 Damn, I need to get my eyes examined. I found it on a UK Bike site but check out the flag in the background on the second picture. I don't think to many people in the UK are flying a US flag on a pole on their property. Ok, need to dig deeper, somebody out there has to know this guy and where the kit came from.
